He still couldn't quite believe it, seeing his name on that wanted poster. One thousand dollars was what his life was worth. Thank god it didn't have a sketch of his face on it, for if it did he would not have been able to get out of Clinton with his hide in tacked, that much he knew for sure. Nothing like being in the wrong place at the wrong time, no wonder he couldn't get the memory of those two men shot dead outside of Fort Yale out of his mind. He figured at the time he would be used as the escape goat. An easy target to pin the murders on, the law must have gotten his name from the group he was travelling with. All the other wanted posters on the wall had sketches; his was the only one that did not. The poster said; he was wanted for murdering two law-men. He didn't know they were law boys. It made him wonder again if he should have ever come north in search of the yellow gold, it had not been anything like he thought it would be.
