Chapter one � Gold can glitter but it can�t sing
The day was July 27Th in the year of the Lord 1862.

The images of that night floated like pictures before his eyes. The decision to hop on Blue and get the hell out of there was made in a split second. He did not want to be seen as the last man standing. He turned the big horse into the bush and they disappeared into the darkness, never to be seen by any of those people again. Travelling alone wasn't so bad, better than taking the rap for some murder he didn't commit.

Barbara St. Jean was born in Maple Ridge, BC. At the age of four she was introduced to Belle Morse from the Maple Ridge Merry Makers and her career in the arts was started. Over the next 26 years she studied dance and acting, and performed in hundreds of well known theatre productions throughout the province. Many of her performances have been televised and are still shown today. In 1980 Barbara opened her own dance studio in Mission, BC and shortly after, received her accreditation in choreography. She graduated from university in 1989 with a degree in Business and Economic Management. Her love of the arts continued to grow and expanded into drawing, sculpting and painting in the early 80’s.
